Dunkin Donuts K-Cups Are Not Very Good

Dunkin Donuts K-Cups Review

This past weekend I noticed I was getting low on K-Cups so I decided to take a bike ride over to the next town and stop in Dunkin Donuts and get a box of their K-Cups. It was aa good excuse to get in some exercise and get coffee at the same time. I noticed that they were getting in the K-Cup business last week when I stopped in their store for coffee since it was next to the Verizon store I went to.

I have always liked Dunkin Donuts coffee so I figured how bad could it be. Well as I am a fan of Dunkin Donuts coffee except for the fact that they fill up the cup too much I figured I would get a box and try it out.

Since I am not really a fan of flavored coffee I settled on getting one box of their original blend. The first cup of coffee I made tasted totally like burnt coffee. I instantly thought to myself that this is not going to be a good box of coffee.

I tossed out the first cup as maybe it was a bad K-Cup as that has been known to happen from time to time. I poured that out and made a new cup and although it wasn’t as bad as the first cup it was still burnt. It also leaves a burnt film taste in your mouth after you sip it. I have since exhausted the box and every single one of the K-Cups tasted burnt. To me it was a waste of money. I so much wanted to like this flavor but I think I will be done after this box and won’t be getting any more. I will stick with my Green Mountain Breakfast Blend K-Cups from now on.

Have you tried this yet and what do you think? If you want to try it for yourself you can get Dunkin Donuts K Cups on EBay.

I agree, I don’t like their cups either. I have switched to the reusable filter. It is much cheaper and I find the quality of the coffee is better.

I’m not a fan either. I did discover that the Folgers Black Silk K-Cups are pretty good – almost as good as my favorite Newman’s Own Special Blend.

So sorry to say I feel the same way. Leaves a bitter, or almost chemical, after-taste. They missed the mark. And they are more expensive than most K-cups! Almost $1 each. I don’t want to waste another $15 to try some of the other flavors.

I just tried the Original Blend for the first time, and I agree. There is a definite burnt taste at the end. I do like the Dark Roast though.

I disagree. I tried the Original Blend and quite like it. Yes, it’s not as good as what’s in the store, but you can’t compare that to what comes out of a machine like a Keurig (which does make a nice cup.) Just bought a pack of the Hazelnut to try that out, too.

I bought a box of Dunkin Original K-Cups… first two K-cups I had were great, tasted like the store. The next one tasted burnt. Seems they’re having consistency issues. I’ll give them another try but it’s a bit expensive for what is hit-or-miss coffee.

Also, if you like the Dunkin (store) flavour, try Timothy’s Original Donut Blend K-Cups (Not to be confused with Donut Shop K-cups or Donut House K-cups) as I found they’re the closest ones to it.

The burnt taste is the brewer not the coffee. I turned the brewing temp down and it solved the problem for me. Factory setting was too high.

Same experience. I was excited to try these and was disappointed. I much prefer the faux Donut House K cups
